What the Hell is Instagram & what’s the Buzz all about?
Instagram is a free photo sharing application that was launched in October 2010 and lets its users take photographs, apply the inbuilt set of filters, share it to all the popular Social networking websites or Instagram’s own social platform. Instagram is now supported by all the major mobile OS like iPhone, Android etc.
The biggest buzz about Instagram started when Facebook acquired the company (of 13 employees) for a whooping sum of 1 Billion USD in cash and stock in the month of April 2012.
Instagram announced that 100 million photos had been uploaded to its service as of July 2011. This total reached 150 million in August 2011.

Instagram announced that more than 150 million photos have been uploaded to their network as of August 2011 and now I guess the count has exponentially risen a multiple times more. Instagram’s new Android version in Google Play crossed more than one million downloads within 12 hours.
There are basic Terms of Use that Instagram users must follow, including an age requirement of 13 years or older, restrictions against posting nude, partially nude, or sexually suggestive photos and responsibility for one’s account and all activity conducted with it.

Now why is Instagram so special and so different?
